Immigrants are an extremely important part of American culture and history. Ever since the birth of the country, America took pride in being a refuge for immigrants, yet never truly supported them. As time passed, rights and freedoms for immigrants have been taken away, especially in the present day. The voices of immigrants are being silenced, but they are so vital for American society. Many farming jobs and factory jobs are held by immigrants, so by attacking their rights we are destroying the bottom line of the production process in so many industries. Without reliable labor basic needs, like food, we will see major price hikes and shortages. Immigrants are not monsters or aliens; they are human beings who deserve a fair shot at the American Dream.
