Even today, women are greatly underrepresented in government and society, showing that the ideals of “We the People” have not yet been fully achieved. The ratio of men to women in Congress is 381 men to 154 women, and women are often taught from a young age to change their behavior to avoid unwanted attention. This connects to “We the People” because all Americans deserve equal representation, respect, and a voice in society.
